In connection with the Explore Your Greenbelt campaign of the Greenbelt Community Foundation, the News Review will be holding an Open House that allows participants to go behind the scenes at the paper – as it was in earlier times as well as today. We will be illustrating how today’s paper is put together – from receipt of stories and photos through publication – as well as illustrating the processes of yesteryear. Learn what a ‘carriage return’ really is and why we use the term ‘cut and paste’. Our group of 1930’s typewriters are fun for everybody and other interactive opportunities include cartooning, editing, story writing and photography. All ages are welcome and flyers will be available at the Greenbelt Farmers Market just across the parking lot. The open house will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.in the newsroom, Suite 100 of the Community Center.
