The Greenbelt Municipal Barracudas (GMB) came out victorious on Saturday, June 29, at their home meet vs Belair Bath and Tennis (BBT). the final score was GMB 294.5 BBT 276.5. This win leaves the team with a record of two wins and one loss. The heat was intense, but the swimmers kept swimming and the coaches and parents hung in there and kept things running smoothly. Halfway through the meet, a number of swimmers started getting the team pumped up with the colorful signs the team used at last year’s Labor Day Parade. It definitely lifted spirits. Many swimmers improved on their previous best times, including Samuel Lerusse, Nadia Nickel, Louis Roberts, Linda Kelly, Aryan Suri, Krish Suri, Maia Swisdak, Caleb Bell-McAllister, Jared Yupari, Matthew Arzoumanian and Christopher Goode. The Greenbelt Barracudas will take on the Pointer Ridge Porpoises in Bowie this coming Saturday.
