On the night of Friday, September 13, local artists gathered in the Community Center for the Art Share, a monthly meeting for Greenbelt creatives to display their work and receive feedback from their artist peers. While the monthly event has been well established for a while, the gatherings take on a different meaning with every artist and artwork that joins, each with their own techniques and motivations.
This month’s meeting in particular boasted an excellent turnout, with 10 artists in attendance to share their creativity and constructive criticism. The “all mediums welcome” policy certainly showed in the work shared, which ranged from pit-fired sculptures to watercolor paintings to standard paper and pencil sketches, each with a personal meaning and inspiration.
