The annual Greenbelt Blues Festival brought together music lovers for a full day of entertainment on Saturday, September 16. Now in its 15th year, the event was produced by the New Deal Café. The Friends of the New Deal Café Arts, a volunteer, non-profit organization, provided the funding for the festival, with additional support from other generous sponsors.
“We’ll see some unbelievable playing today,” the foundation’s treasurer Chris Logan said. “I always look forward to it.”
Chris and Barbara Logan have volunteered at the blues festival since the beginning.
“We’ve been doing this all 15 years,” said Barbara Logan, who takes care of T-shirt sales. “We always enjoy it, particularly on a day like this, when it’s gorgeous out. And the music is good!”
