Ric Gordon
Ric was born Brandon Ricardo (Ric) Gordon in Prince George’s County on September 19, 1982, and he is a product of Prince George’s County Public Schools. Gordon graduated from Morris College in 2004, obtaining his bachelor’s degree in political science and pre-law with a minor in psychology. He went on to graduate studies for his master’s degree in public administration.
Gordon is a practicing political scientist and serves in organizations throughout Greenbelt, such as chair of Greenbelt Voices Rising, at-large member of Greenbelt Community Foundation, vice chair of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board for Greenbelt, co-chair of Greenbelt Anti-Maglev Taskforce and vice president of Greenbelt Access Television (GATe) along with serving on three other boards and committees.
Gordon is a community activist within the city, holding various voter registration events and community rallies against community violence. He is often an advocate for his fellow neighbors in Franklin Park for the various needs and concerns they have between property management and the City of Greenbelt.
Gordon is a published author of three poetry books and is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Prince Hall Freemasons of Warren Lodge #8.
Gordon resides in the Franklin Park community in Greenbelt West with his dog of more than a decade, a Pomeranian named Nix.
