Eggs Galore Found During Greenbelt’s Easter Egg Hunt

As the horn blew, the ribbon was dropped and children of all ages ran onto the field in search of eggs, many of which were immediately visible.

This was the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the City of Greenbelt. Held in person last Saturday, April 16 at Schrom Hills Park, the event began promptly at 10 a.m.

The egg hunt took place on the park field near the playground. Areas were sectioned off for different age groups to ensure a fair and fun time. In each section, one golden egg, containing a special prize for the lucky finder, was hidden among the others. Bubbles, balloon animals and bouncy toys were also provided to entertain participants.

The Easter bunny made a special appearance in the park, posing for pictures with the children and other attendees. Councilmembers Silke Pope, Judith Davis and Ric Gordon, along with Mayor Emmett Jordan, also came out to join in the egg-citing festivities while the community joined together in the Easter celebration.
