The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)
8–10:30pm, Greenbelt Arts Center, $20, $16 Students/Seniors, $12 Youth. Starring Michael J. Dombroski, Brian Moors, and Patrick Mullen, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] blends witty farce with rapid hi-jinks through scripted elements and structured improvisation. Off The Quill tackles its first comedy with this wild, irreverent ride through one of the most beloved collections of classical literature.
Fundraiser Concert for Greenbelt Rhythm & Drum Festival
8:30–11:30pm, New Deal Café, FREE. Bele Bele Rhythm Collective: A Sisterhood of the Drum with tightly sewn compositions of West African polyrhythms, complete with contagious songs and dancing. / The Beat Fairy - Afro-influenced folk and blues that fuses percussive beats with old jazz, blues, and folk songs, as well as a collection of original tunes, playing on sounds and rhythms its members have learned performing with Grammy-nominated Griot from Mali Cheick Hamala Diabate and Sierra Leonean musical revolutionary, Janka Nabay.
