Three Bears for Tots
10:30–11:30am, Patuxent Wildlife Refuge, FREE. Children ages 5 to 7 can learn what bears can be found in North America and right here in Maryland.
Wine and Food Tasting
4–7pm, Greenbelt Co-Op, FREE. The Greenbelt Co-op Supermarket & Pharmacy will be offering a free wine & food tasting to celebrate Patron Appreciation Day. The food tasting will be a seasonal selection available to purchase or made from ingredients available in the store. Anyone who decides to purchase a tasting wine will receive $1 off the price of each bottle, and all store purchases receive a 5% discount the entire day.

Astronomical Society: OSIRIS-REx
7:30pm, Community Center, FREE. Dr. Joseph A. Nuth, senior scientist for primitive bodies at Goddard Space Flight Center will discuss the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft, which is traveling to Bennu, a carbonaceous asteroid whose regolith may record the earliest history of our solar system. Bennu may contain the molecular precursors to the origin of life and the Earth’s oceans. Bennu is also one of the most potentially hazardous asteroids, as it has a relatively high probability of impacting the Earth late in the 22nd century.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner
5:30–7:30pm, Greenbelt Community Church, FREE. Volunteers cook and serve pancakes, sausage, and baked apples to anyone who comes to eat. There is no fee, but a free-will offering is received to assist local people in need of food and medicine.
