Pretty senior Toffee has fallen for the class bad boy. Family pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off on his motorcycle to the nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim her heart. He still wants to graduate, but most of all he wants to take Toffee to the prom. The principal orders him to drop dead while a scandal reporter seizes on him as the freak du jour. Music by Dana P. Rowe Book and Lyrics by Dempsey directed by Jeffery Lesniak. With Stephen Backus, Winard Britt, David Colton, Kaela Monsanto, Pamela Northrup, Melanie Pino-Elliott, Rachel Pino-Elliott, R. Brett Rohrer, Joey Rolandelli, and Emily Small.
Fractal Cat
8:30–11:30pm, New Deal Café, FREE. 5-piece rock ensemble emphasizing classic songwriting, melodic vocals, and a multilayered psychedelic rock sound. Original songs combine the spirit of early rock ‘n’ roll with elements of soul, classic country, and electronic music. Musical influences include Chuck Berry, early Pink Floyd, and John Coltrane, while lyrical inspirations range from Blake to Buddha.
