Greenbelt Museum "Deco the Halls"
7–9pm, 10-B Crescent Road, FREE. An exhibition of art deco and vintage holiday decorations. Take a quick free tour of this fully furnished original Greenbelt home, which sparkles and glows at night. Then peruse the gift shop, freshly stocked with new holiday merchandise. For more information, call 301-507-6582.
Community Tree Lighting with Santa
7pm, Greenbelt Community Center front lawn, FREE. Holiday lights will adorn the tree in the traditional spirit of the Festival of Lights season. A musical performance by the Greenbelt Concert Band Brass Choir will herald Santa’s grand entrance to help light the tree. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will be provided by the Recreation Department.
Makerspace Birthday

10am, Community Center, FREE. Saturday 10am–5pm; Sunday 10am–4pm. Free monoprint workshop with Kathy Karlson, Artist in Residence: Sunday 1–3pm. Shop for original, hand-made wares, direct from local artisans. Also, Greenbelt Museum gifts and books by local authors.
Breakfast with Santa

Beauty Pageant and Ornament-Making

Noon to 2 pm: Bring the kids to make their very own Christmas Tree ornament to hang on our LIVE Beltway Plaza Mall tree or take home! 2:00 to 3:00 pm: Sunburst Beauty Pageant is for children ages Infant to 27 years. Auditions for Evil Dead: The Musical
7pm, Greenbelt Arts Center, FREE. Callbacks, if needed, will be Thursday, December 11. Director Jeffery Lesniak, with music director Paul Nahay and choreographer Rikki Howie Lacewell, are casting 5 men and 4 women, to play college-age. Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and either Saturday or Sunday. Performances run March 6-28. All roles are open and unpaid.
