Wine Tasting
4–7pm, Greenbelt Co-Op, FREE. The Greenbelt Co-op Supermarket & Pharmacy will be offering a free wine tasting featuring wines selected by our resident wine consultant. Anyone who decides to purchase a tasting wine will receive $1 off the price of each bottle.

Community Tree Lighting with Santa
7pm, Greenbelt Community Center front lawn, FREE. Holiday lights will adorn the tree in the traditional spirit of the Festival of Lights season. A musical performance by the Greenbelt Concert Band Brass Choir will herald Santa’s grand entrance to help light the tree. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will be provided by the Recreation Department.
Christmas Cactus
8–10:15pm, Greenbelt Arts Center, $20, $16 Students/Seniors, $12 Youth. Christmas Eve is tough for private investigator Cactus O'Riley, a white hot redhead with the holiday blues. She is trying to lure her secretary Fred away from his protective mother, dodging the affections of Deputy D.A. Windsor, and considering closing her business. She doesn't need the added aggravation of two fugitives who burst into her office looking for justice and a dead detective named Jake Marley. Cactus also doesn't need Fred's mother, who arrives to take Fred home but decides to stay because she thinks this is the Christmas murder mystery party she has always dreamed of attending. Christmas turns into a dickens of a holiday for Cactus as she solves mysteries, delivers small miracles and takes a second chance on love and sleuthing. Comedy, mystery, and romance converge in this charming contemporary Christmas tale where goodwill and justice triumph. Presented by guest company Off The Quill.
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas”

The GoodFellas
8:30–11:30pm, New Deal Café, FREE. Beatles tribute band that entertains with not only the classic hits, but also with early gems and obscure B-sides, embracing the energy reminiscent of the Fab Four's Liverpool and Hamburg days. Dinner reservations recommended.

Invasive Plants
11am, Greenbelt National Park Sweetgum Picnic Area, FREE. Join us each first Saturday of the month to help remove invasive plants from the park. This partnership with the University of Maryland involves identifying and removing different invasive plants in the park. This hands-on volunteer project is going strong thanks to Volunteer Leader Tom Crone.
Winnie The Pooh
2–4pm, Greenbelt Arts Center, $10 children, $15 adults. Pooh and Piglet try to catch a Heffalump. It's Eeyore' birthday but he's lost his tail, and Rabbit is worried about the arrival of Kanga and Roo - with a bathtub and soap! Owl and Christopher Robin join in the adventures. The beloved inhabitants of the hundred-acre wood come to life in this musical adaptation of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, sure to please Pooh fans of all ages. With Harper Chadwick, Tiffany Chadwick, Sophie Cooper, Alyssa Heintzelman, Bill Jones, Jim Pasquale, Jenn Robinson, and Stephanie Thom. By le Clanché du Rand and directed by Jon Gardner.
