Thanksgiving Holiday
City offices closed. Refuse & Recycling: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday routes are regular schedule. Thursday route refuse collected Wednesday but no recycling this week.
Gobble Wobble Run
9am, Youth Center, $20 ($15 in advance). Spend Thanksgiving morning with the Greenbelt Recreation Department as we host the 9th annual Gobble Wobble: roughly a 5K race (2 laps) and a 1.5 mile fun run/walk (1 lap) around Buddy Attick Park lake path. All registrants receive a Gobble Wobble shirt. Click for family 4-pack pricing.
Thanksgiving Brunch
11am–2pm, Greenbelt Marriott, $37 adult, $16 child. Hand-carved sage-rubbed turkey, teriyaki salmon with stir fried vegetables, mouth-watering desserts, and more. Call 301-441-3700 for reservations.

Trail Maintenance
8:45am–12pm, Greenbelt Park, 6565 Greenbelt Road, FREE. Trail crew volunteers will meet at the Sweetgum Picnic Area to help improve the trail system of Greenbelt Park. Participants need to pre-register by calling 301-344-3944.
Jazz & Blues Piano
6:30–8pm, New Deal Café, FREE. by Takoma Park’s own John Guernsey.
The Badger Band

Star Party
6pm, Greenbelt Observatory at Northway field, FREE. Guided tour of the moon, Mars, Neptune, and Uranus, and deep sky objects, such as galaxies, star clusters and planetary nebulae. Visitors are also welcome to set up their own telescopes on the hill. Canceled if skies are overcast.
