Forsaken Angels
2–4:30pm, Greenbelt Arts Center, $20, $16 Students/Seniors. Mature audiences only (under 17 with parent). Forsaken Angels is a new drama by William Leary, author of the DC Metro Theatre Arts 'Best Of 2014' 'Masquerade' and the winner of a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award Winner. The show looks at the lives of three young people; Audrey, the upper middle class young girl who is taken by a boy she's met online; Samantha, a young girl from the projects whose mother is a drug addicted, alcoholic prostitute; and Alex, the young boy kicked out of his home due to his sexuality. Forsaken Angels is a graphic, hard hitting and honest look at the horrors of sexual trafficking in America today.
